国会事故調は、平成23年3月11日に起きた東京電力福島第一原子力発電所事故の事故原因究明のための調査・提言を行うために、日本の憲政史上初めて国会に設置された独立した国民の為の調査機関です。
平成23年12月8日に発足し、平成24年7月5日に報告書を国会の両院議長に提出しました。

NAIIC (The National Diet of Japan Fukushima Nuclear Accident Independent Investigation Commisssion) is the first independent investigation commission appointed by the National Diet in the 66-year history of Japan’s constitutional government.
NAIIC was established on December 8, 2011; its mission – to investigate the direct and indirect causes of the Fukushima nuclear accident.
NAIIC submitted the report to both houses of Diet on July 5, 2012.
